The 2024 Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park delivered a display of precision, strategy, and team execution as Scott McLaughlin claimed a commanding victory for Team Penske under clear Alabama skies.

Starting from pole position, McLaughlin controlled the race from the outset, setting a measured yet relentless pace through Barber’s technical elevation changes and flowing corners. His ability to manage tire degradation while maintaining consistent lap times proved decisive over the course of the event.

Team Penske’s strong showing was further solidified by Will Power, who executed a calculated and disciplined drive to finish second, securing a dominant 1–2 result for the organization. Strategic pit sequencing and clean stops allowed both drivers to remain at the front, minimizing challenges from the chasing pack.

The battle for third place highlighted one of the standout performances of the day. Linus Lundqvist delivered a composed and impressive drive for Chip Ganassi Racing, earning a career-best podium finish in just his early stages of full-time IndyCar competition.
